Responsibilities
Summary
Primary purpose of this position is to oversee daily logistics operations including kitting, restocking, shipping, receiving, and inter-building material flow per established procedures, guidelines, and time frames. Responsible for shift performance, inventory accuracy and quality. Lead team members and direct all daily logistical operations in the absence of the manager.
Responsibilities
- Motivates, coaches, trains, and provides guidance/feedback to new and current team members.
- Serves as a role model and point person for team members, delegates workload, and reports performance evaluation to Manager.
- Supervises daily operations in kitting, restocking, shipping, receiving, and inter-building logistics.
- Prioritizes work to maintain on-time delivery, tracks daily numbers, and ensures the flow of material by driving the escalation process.
- Represents manager as needed and leads shopfloor management and communication to other departments.
- Coordinates interfaces with accounting, customer center, and procurement departments in terms of daily operational needs.
- Works with a variety of logistics equipment, not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, strapping and wrapping machines.
- Recommends department improvements for on-time delivery, efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Conducts accuracy-audits to ensure highest accuracy of logistical operations is maintained.
- Reports and records any quality deviations per the MRB process.
- Maintain logistics, machines/tools and record TPM according to schedule.
- Handle all parts with care and attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment per 6S guidelines.
- Follow company technical work instructions, procedures, and standards.
- Runs reports in ERP system to check forecasted orders for part availability and ensure that they are kitted in time to meet OTD goals.
- Assists in logistical operations, supporting the team in daily operations as needed.
- Ensures accurate inventory in the ERP system, requesting inventory adjustments, and IC invoicing.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the department manager.
Qualifications
- Able to effectively use ERP System with minimal errors or discrepancies.
- Able to read production orders, pick lists and material lists.
- Effectively communicates with others.
- Effectively organizes and priorities work on a daily basis.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Ability to work overtime (Weekdays and/or Saturday) if necessary.
- Must have forklift, scissor lift, and walk behind training and/or obtain licenses to operate.
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development Test certificate (GED) is required
- Minimum one year direct or related experience is required
- Inventory management experience is required
- Good interaction with the manager is required
