Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician is expected to perform preventative and reactive maintenance and repair of building and machine equipment. They are responsible for the overall upkeep and repair of assigned areas whether through completion of the physical repair or through the coordination of vendors repair efforts. In addition, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting facilities maintenance and providing technical assistance to the entire manufacturing operation.

  • Assist Manufacturing Engineering with various project work for the manufacturing area.
  • Maintain and facilitate repairs to components of the site including, but not limited to, building walls, roofing, floors, plumbing, doors & hardware, light fixtures, cabinetry, drywall, ceilings, curbing, and more.
  • Manage service calls for assigned tasks including vendor follow-up and approval of completed work.
  • Oversee external contractors, such as landscaping, snow removal, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Reviewing work orders & invoices.
  • Assemble and disassemble warehouse shelving, assembly lines, and fixtures.
  • Other maintenance repairs and restorative projects as directed.
  • Maintain and keep parking lots and premises clean.
  • Light landscaping
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • 2 - 5 years experience in maintenance work
  • 2 - 5 years experience in industrial maintenance work with machine equipment
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to document work order issues by use of photos and emails
  • Ability to perform minor electrical and plumbing work
  • Basic HVAC knowledge
  • Effectively communicates with others
  • Effectively organizes and prioritizes work with attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is preferred
  • Demonstrates problem solving skills
  • Ability to make recommendations on budget, capital equipment, and inventory
  • Must be able to understand written and verbal instruction in English
  • Valid driver's license
