About WITTENSTEIN
Products of the WITTENSTEIN Group are found wherever extreme precision is required to drive, operate and control.
The products developed, produced and distributed by WITTENSTEIN include highly precise planetary gearheads, complete electromechanical drive systems and AC booster systems and motors. They are used in such areas as robotic systems, machine tools, packaging, conveyor systems and process technology, paper and printing presses, medical technology and the aerospace industry.
Acknowledged technological expertise and a tradition of innovativeness are the mainstays of the WITTENSTEIN Group’s success. 85 percent of all products sold are less than five years old.
Our aim is to be innovation leader in the market for high-precision electromechanical drive systems, to enable us to continue to grow in future.
Intelligent drive systems
Our fundamental orientation towards intelligent drive systems and the fusion of micro and macro technology have driven the advancement of our core know-how and competencies step by step. The first low-backlash planetary gearheads were introduced to the public back in 1983. Other exciting innovations followed in the areas of linear technology from 1991, electronics from 1992, motors from 1994, sensor technology from 1996 and software from 1998.
Innovation, Network and Intelligence
In the sector of electromechanical servo actuator systems, the WITTENSTEIN Group bases its efforts on the MINI strategy with its four core elements Miniaturization, Innovation, Network and Intelligence. From the beginning, trends have been set in the integration and miniaturization of components, and many of these trends have been continuously evolved ever since.
