WITTENSTEIN AG to take the next step in the generational change

Expansion of the Management Board on April 1, 2016

WITTENSTEIN AG, the mechatronics corporation headquartered in Igersheim (South-West Germany), will have an expanded Management Board with effect from April 1, 2016. Currently comprised of Professor Dieter Spath (Chairman of the Board and CEO) and Karl-Heinz Schwarz, the Board will be supplemented by four new internal appointees: Dr. Anna-Katharina Wittenstein, Dr. Dirk Haft, Erik Roßmeißl and Dr. Bernd Schimpf.

"We're particularly proud of the fact that all new members of the expanded Board have been recruited within our own ranks – including a proven leader drawn directly from the WITTENSTEIN family", said Dr. Manfred Wittenstein, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of WITTENSTEIN AG. All members of the restructured Management Board can build on rich expertise and extensive management experience within the WITTENSTEIN group.

Professor Spath plans to hand over his Board responsibilities on October 1, 2016 following a transitional phase. Spath expressly emphasized his role as "bridge-builder for the next generation at a successful family run company" when he took over at WITTENSTEIN on October 1, 2013, having previously spent many years as Head of the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering (Fraunhofer IAO) in Stuttgart.

The following new members will be appointed to the WITTENSTEIN AG Management Board on April 1, 2016 to coincide with the start of the 2016/17 fiscal year:

Dr. Anna-Katharina Wittenstein, *1975, Chairwoman of the Board, WITTENSTEIN holding Corp. / USA. Responsible for Corporate Development on the restructured Management Board.
